Kim's Review
4.5 stars!!!

Ryan Rose and her friends from college are finalist in a life changing entrepreneurial competition against the arch-rival school.  Ryan knows that winning this competition will not only change her life but the ones of her teammates and best friends.  Meeting her competition on the way to New York left Ryan in the mood to show the boys just who their dealing with.
Jett Trebuchet’s has always known where he’d end up after graduating but to work for his father’s company he is required to work for a fortune 500 company first.  This competition will give him what he needs to work in the family business.  Jett and his teammate are shocked when they meet their competition.
Both Ryan and Jett feel the instant attraction but will it distraction from winning or will they be both lose more than just the competition?

I was given this book in exchange for an honest review.

Ryan Rose is a highly motivated young woman who’s stubborn but strong and determine to win the entrepreneurial competition.  She wants to go to law school but doesn’t want her parents to have to go into debt to send her there.  Winning means her first year will be paid for but more importantly her friends and teammates could use their share of the winnings too.  When Jett and his teammate got into the limo she felt the attraction to Jett but knowing he was from the same fraternity as her ex has her on high alert.  Once she discovers they don’t recognize her and assume that the girls are escorts sent to take them to the airport, she pulls a fast one on them and leaves them at the work terminal.  She knows she should feel bad for tricking them but when they said that girls from their school were easy and dumb she lost any respect she may have had.

Jett Trebuchet is in the competition for one reason only, working for the family business which he is already doing.  His teammate and frat brothers all get something out of winning but it’s Jett who needs the twelve month employment contract with Trott Ventures.  Jett may come off as an arrogant jerk but he is a strong, level headed, down to earth Alpha male who knows what he wants.  When he is forced to work with Ryan on of the assignments, he learns more about her than he planned and the attraction between them grows.  He still doesn’t let his heart cloud his judgement, when they get some insider information on what the girls are planning for the one assignment, Jett and his teammates stop at the nothing to win.

This is the debut novel for Shae Ross and she is off to an amazing start.  I was hooked before the first chapter ended.  I wanted to see what the guys would do to get even with the girls and how the girls would handle things.  Both teams are full of strong, smart individuals but my favourites are Ryan and Jett.  I couldn’t put the book down as I wanted to know what the next competition was and who was going to win.  Jett did some unexpected things through the book but nothing pleased me more than the sacrifice he was going to make for Jade’s family.  Not only did he work something out to help them but Vaughn had stepped up to it melted my heart.

The chemistry between Ryan and Jett had me wanting more.  When these two were together, whether working on the project of the day or fighting over who was going first, they were like nothing I’ve read about in a while.  Jett has a romantic side to him and when he took Ryan on a real date treating her to more than he had with any other girl had me swooning over him.

A series of misunderstanding and distrust due to the competition has these two questioning their own feeling and if they were getting too involve and losing focus.  After setting each other straight they finally see what they have and both are ready and willing to forget who wins as long as they end up together.

If I could give this book 4.5/5 stars I would, but since they don’t have half it shows as only 4 but is better than just a 4.  This is one novel I highly recommend to anyone wanting a fun and dramatic romance story.  I will definitely be checking out what Shae Ross has out next!!!
