Pucked Over by Helena Hunting Release Blitz & Review

About Pucked Over

Lily LeBlanc isn’t versed in the art of casual sex, but after seven years in an on-again, off-again relationship, she’s definitely willing to give it a shot. And who better to try it with than her best friend’s boyfriend’s best friend? What could possibly go wrong?

NHL player, Randy Ballistic, lives up to his last name on the ice and in the bedroom. His best friend and teammate has recently given up the puck bunnies and traded them in for a real girlfriend. And she just happens to have a seriously feisty, extra-hot best friend on the rebound. Randy’s more than happy to be Lily’s spring board back into the dating scene.

But casual sex is only casual until those pesky things called emotions get involved. Once that happens, someone’s bound to get pucked over.

Kim's 5 Star Review

Lily LeBlanc recently ended her rocky seven year relationship, she’s looking for something more casual. NHL player Randy Ballistic makes her an offer she can’t refuse. Besides what could possibly go wrong with keeping things casual when one person only does casual relationship and the other has never been in a casual relationship?

Lily has worked hard her whole life. She was on the way to making her dream of becoming an Olympic Figure Skater true when it was ripped from her. Now Lily is trying to make the best out of what she has. She works two jobs to save up, to get her Master’s Degree, she coaches young girls with goals like hers were. With an absent father, Lily’s mom has been everything to her. She feels the need to live at home to help out her mom financially. You have to give Lily credit for working hard at making others girls dreams come without being overly bitter about missing out on her dream. She’s a strong-willed sassy red-head who finally takes the steps she needs to make a better life for herself. She has to deal with a mother’s bitterness towards hockey players when her best friends boyfriend and childhood friend are both NHL players. Yes her mother gives her the “Hockey players are nothing more than just players” and the “don’t be a puck bunny” speeches regularly.

Randy Ballistic is a second generation hockey player so he’s seen what being on the road can do to relationships and families. For this reason alone Randy has kept all his relationships casual, letting the woman go when things start to get too serious. He’s spent his whole life being compared to his cheating father and decided he won’t be like his dad. Randy is a laid back, wants to have fun kind of guy. Having to prove himself to the team he just got traded to is nothing compared to trying to date Lily.

This is the third book in the Pucked Series and Helena has another hit on her hands. It didn’t take long for this book is reel me in. Both Randy and Lily are two character you can’t help be fascinated by. They say they want to keep things casual but when it comes to being together they can’t seems to keep it as casual as they think they are. Lily is the everyday kind of girl who we can relate to easily. Working two jobs to pay the bills while living at home still. Lily is no puck bunny. She does her best to stay away from hockey players but when she’s around Randy the chemistry between them is undeniable. Just getting out of a bad relationship that was toxic to her Lily thinks she can do the casual thing and Randy, the king of casual is the perfect guy to do it with. Being on the road regularly doesn’t help things but makes it easier to keep things casual. Of course nothing goes according to plan making both Lily and Randy see what was meant to be casual isn’t casual anymore leaving them to figure out what to do.
Helena executes this love story beautifully and gives her readers and idea of what life is like for a hockey player trying to keep a normal life while on the road. No story runs smooth as these two hit several bumps in the road leaving them trying to figure if it worth all the work or should they cut their losses and go their separate ways. Pucked Over is definitely my favourite new read this year!!

About Pucked

With a famous NHL player for a stepbrother, Violet Hall is well acquainted with the playboy reputation of many a hockey star. So of course she isn’t interested in legendary team captain Alex Waters or his pretty, beat-up face and rock-hard six-pack abs. When Alex inadvertently obliterates Violet’s misapprehension regarding the inferior intellect of hockey players, he becomes much more than just a hot body with the face to match.

Suffering from a complete lapse in judgment, Violet discovers just how good Alex is with the hockey stick in his pants. Violet believes her night of orgasmic magic with Alex is just that: one night. But Alex starts to call. And text. And email and send extravagant—and quirky—gifts. Suddenly, he's too difficult to ignore, and nearly impossible not to like.

The problem is, the media portrays Alex as a total player, and Violet doesn’t want to be part of the game

About Pucked Up

Miller “Buck” Butterson has been banging his way through life ever since a puck to the face fixed his messed up front teeth. After five years in the NHL, deflecting goals on the ice and scoring them with puck bunnies, Miller has decided he’s ready for a girlfriend. A real, non-bunny girlfriend to take on dates, and not jump into bed with after five seconds of conversation.

Miller thinks he’s found that woman in his teammate’s sister. Except, unlike team captain and all-around nice guy Alex Waters—who happens to date his stepsister, Miller’s media reputation as a manwhore is well earned. Beyond that minor detail, Miller doesn’t know the first thing about relationships or the time and effort they require.

Miller learns—eventually—that if he wants to make Sunshine “Sunny” Waters fall for him, he's going to have to do a whole lot more than show her his stick skills in the bedroom.
