Take My Dare

I’ve never been happier than I am with Jackson Steele. But I should know better than anyone that happiness always comes at a price ...

My life with Jackson is nothing short of perfection. He is my love, my husband, the one man in all the world who makes me feel alive and whole. Our careers are on track. Our family is growing. And the ghosts of our past have been vanquished – or so I believed.

When a wonderful night of sensuality and passion following a masquerade ball turns dark with the news that haunting, horrible photographs of me have surfaced, my old fears and insecurities threaten to knock me down, and it is only within Jackson’s arms that I find the strength to endure.

But even Jackson’s protection may not be able to save us, because I know my husband well. And he will do whatever it takes—even if it means risking himself—in order to protect our family…

Kim's 4 Star Review

Jackson and Sylvia are back!

Jackson and Sylvia captured J. Kenner reader’s heart with their story.  Their story wasn’t an easy one but they made it through.  When the announcement came that a new novella in their story was coming I couldn’t resist but sign up for the review.

Sylvia’s past has always been lurking in the dark waiting to rear its ugly head.  Her father went to jail trying to protect her.  Now that he has been paroled her past is front and center.  When she needs him, Jackson is there protecting her and their family but what happens when he may not be able to protect her from the secrets coming out.

J. Kenner brought her readers back to get another glimpse into Jackson’s and Sylvia’s life.  I couldn’t get enough of them when their trilogy came out.  I loved how their life had continued and the readers got to meet the newest member of the Steel family.  Secrets never stay that way and with the release of Sylvia’s father brings back the past. J. Kenner did a great job showing her readers just how strong Sylvia has become, how she is working on dealing with her past.  Yes, she has Jackson but she also has herself and her family to keep safe and protected. You have to admire how far Sylvia has come and how she and Jackson are good for each other, how strong they are with and without each other.  The little twist in their story leaving you wondering how they’ll deal with and get past this twist which has the potential to be a life changing moment for them.  In true form J. Kenner kept her readers speculating what was to come next.
